Project goal: The project goal of “Together for equality of LGBT people” is to help motivate positive activity of the general public, to reduce prejudice towards LGBT population, promote the equality and non-violence principles and need for less discrimination, and to stress the importance of tolerance, equality and respect of diversity.
Description: The project will include movie screenings, promotion of cultural creativity of LGBT people, interactive street performances and actions, distribution of brochures and informational magazines, organization of panel discussions, organization of promo-parties, etc.
The project will have activities in several towns in Serbia, like Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, Niš, Zrenjanin, etc. The first project activities are planned for June 8th in Novi Sad, while the closing activities will take place in Belgrade from June 23rd to June 29th, which will include celebration of the Gay Pride Day on June 27th by a performance and several panel discussions with several prominent panellists.
The role of Q-Club in this project is production of “cardboard LGBT people” with various sign, and organising their display in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis and Kragujevac, as well as production and distribution of education materials, recording the events, and organising the book of impressions.
Results: Bringing the problems of LGBT populations closer to the general public, and identifying the attitudes of the general public toward the LGBT population
Educating and informing of the general public about the problems of the LGBT population
Informing and empowerment of members of the LGBT population
Promoting human rights and tolerance and marking the international Pride day
